Chloe Brotheridge is a hypnotherapist, mentor and coach, who shares her work at www.calmer-you.com. She is also the author of the bestselling books The Anxiety Solution and The Confidence Solution, and has written for The Guardian, Daily Mail, Stylist, Marie Claire and Cosmopolitan (to name just a few). Her podcast, The Calmer You Podcast, has had over three-quarters of a million downloads, and she has helped thousands of people all over the world with her courses and workshops.

In the past, Chloe struggled with anxiety and self-doubt, having panic attacks so serious that at times she thought she was dying. She’d get so nervous before meeting new people, that her hands would shake. She felt sure that she would be ‘found out’ to be an imposter, regardless of what training or qualifications she had.

Eight years ago, Chloe went on a mission to become a calmer, more confident person. She put in some serious hours of therapy, read every book, attended every workshop, trained in hypnotherapy, NLP ( Neuro Linguistic Programming) and coaching, and overturned every rock she could find in her own unconscious mind. She also did more than her fair share of meditation, and even spent time with shamans in the Amazon jungle. These days, she is a much calmer and self-assured person and gets to regularly help others to become their calmest, happiest and most confident selves.

I thoroughly enjoyed this, Chloe. There are some gold nuggets in here, especially the tactic of visualising your imposter syndrome as something light-hearted and unintimidating. Mine is now Pingu!
