In this course, ‘Get to know yourself’, we will be focusing on this week’s big question: What are your strengths? Together with this chapter’s expert, global diversity leader and entrepreneur, Sonya Barlow, you will be exploring, through self evaluation, your strengths and weaknesses, observing what is currently holding you back and how you can ignite your strengths to guide you forward. In this chapter, you will be getting honest and assess your current career position. When evaluating your skill set, you will be asked to observe how you can improve your weaker aspects and harness your strengths to support your career development. Essentially, owning all of yourself rather than apologising for the parts you have decided are not useful. You will engage with yourself as innately valuable to any position, role or team.
